Friendship Day Gift Exchange - Unresponsive Matches
If you're having problems reaching your match to confirm addresses etc, please send an email to Darkly Cute / Kanamai / Pin Filly at pinfilly@gmail.com. She'll handle rematching you up if your original match fell off the face of the internet.

Gift Exchange Update
It has come to my attention that because there were an odd number of people who joined the group, Elfster did an odd way of matching pairs. It's not pairs at all! You'll be receiving a gift from somepony entirely different from who you'll be sending a gift to. I hope this clears up any confusion (it sure did for me!).
Again, if you have any questions, comments, concerns, etc, let me know. Otherwise, huzzah!

International Friendship Day Gift Exchange Underway!
Yay! The exchange is almost here and people's names have been drawn! Use the next bit of time to contact your match and create or purchase your gifts! "But how do I know where to send my gift?" you ask. Just look at the Elfster profile of the person who you were matched up with. Send them a message over Elfster, or to any variety of contact information they may have provided in their profile, and confirm addresses and any other concerns you might have with them. It'd be a good idea to find out what kinds of things they *don't* want, as well. Then when International Friendship Day arrives, we shall bombard the postal systems of the world with friendship!
Feel free to drop me a line if anypony's being particularly unresponsive. When all's said and done, I'll rematch those who got left behind if necessary.
As always, feel free to ask anything here or message me over on Elfster. Cheers!

International Friendship Day Gift Exchange
In honor of July 30th being International Friendship Day, I decided to put together a gift exchange where anypony could join and, well, exchange gifts!
http://www.elfster.com/exchange/view/5124350/802ff2/
You can join up there. Anyone from anywhere on Earth (or the moon, or Equestria... whatever) can join and participate. When the randomized drawing happens you can exchange addresses with your match, so that everyone doesn't have to see everyone's full address (because weird stalkers and that kinda noise... we kinda want to avoid that).
So join up! Give and receive! Sharing is caring, and friendship is magic!
Edit: FAQs will be answered here. If you have any questions that aren't answered, please comment to ask them.
Q. How does this work?
A. One signs up to the Elfster group before the sign up deadline. It's free and simple and requires nothing more than a name and an email address. Then when the deadline hits, Elfster randomly matches up people in the group to exchange gifts. The matched people can then exchange addresses and discuss any questions or concerns they have with each other in the two weeks before International Friendship Day. And then when the big day rolls around, everyone should head out to ship off their gifts! Of course, due to varying shipping times this means that it'll be sporadically over the following month or so that people receive their gifts, but there's not much to do about that.
Q. Why isn't there a spending limit?
A. So that people can be as extravagant as they want! Just remember: It's perfectly fine to spend as much as you want, but don't expect it in return. It's just as fine to send something simple, even free to you (like a picture you drew, for instance). It's about sharing friendship.
Q. Will you be splitting into groups depending on country allowing for easier postage?
A. Nope, that would kinda defeat the purpose of International Friendship Day. Postage shouldn't be *too* expensive, especially if your gift is small and lightweight. If you really can't afford postage, you could always do something digitally. Just remember that it's about giving, not so much receiving.
Q. Does this gift have to be pony-related?
A. Nope. Ponies are always a good choice though.
Q. Could a game on Steam be a gift?
A. Certainly! But I'd wait to see who you get matched up with first, to make sure they have Steam and a computer powerful enough to handle the game that you would like to get them.

Posting from Luna's Castle
Hello and welcome everypony! Northern Dash here. You might recognize me from such wide and varied places as Ponychan, Equestria Daily, or Rainbow Dash Network, among others. In any case, I have created this blog to utilize as a central point of communication for organizing varying events for fans of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. So stay tuned for all sorts of fun and exciting things. As well as ramblings about Minecraft, because that game is addictive!
In other news, this layout is kinda not really all that great. Anypony have a good foresty background pic I could use? Or a starry night; that could work too. Thanks!
